Type of codification
The codification of a serial number can be established by a bar code, QR code, Data matrix…
The purpose of codification is to make the reading of a serial number by a PDA reader in a fast and reliable way without errors.
Generally in inventories, we use barcodes type code 128 for a serial number of 8 digits. For a long serial number or contains many characters, it is advisable to use the QR code or DATA matrix.
Type of marking for the asset tag
- PET tag: We use thermal transfer marking of a black resin film.
- Black anodized aluminum :
The marking on black anodized aluminum is done by stripping the black anodic layer by laser. Possibility to customize your logo in white on a black background.
- Stainless steel:
You have the possibility to personalize your logo on the identification plate either by laser marking such as the background of the stainless steel plate and the color of the logo in black or by pad printing such as the background of the stainless steel plate and the logo in colors.
PS: Each color added to your plate requires an additional process in the production of the plate and therefore, additional costs.
A laser beam propagates through the air and penetrates the surface of the stainless steel to make an engraving of 0.025 mm and gives the black color on the surface of the marking.
